Protected Pages are locked, and can only by edited by adiminstrators, trusted Age of Wikipedians. This may be because the page is very important, or, more commonly, because the page is often vandalised.

This will appear at the top of any page that is a protected page. You can see the wiki text used, and copy and paste any bits you need, but only an adimistrator can save changes.
