Effect Description:
This effect centers the camera on a specific unit. It makes the camera move to this unit in a certain time, and once the camera reached the unit, the unit will always be in the center of your view. You can still control the camera though. When moving the mouse to the edges of the screen the camera will circle around the unit and change its inclination and distance to the unit when you move the cursor very far away from the unit. If the unit moves the camera will follow it.
Effect Parameters:
Target Unit: This is the center unit. Timer ms: The time in which the camera moves to the unit when the effect is fired in milliseconds. Use 0 if you want it to go to the unit instantly. Enable: ON to start this camera behaviour, OFF to end it. Trigger: A Fire Event. Which doesn't work.
Notes:
- The camera faces the unit from where it is when the effect is fired. This means the unit can be far away in the first moments until you scroll closer to it. If this is not desired use a Camera Cut effect immediately before this effect to center the camera on the unit.
- To end this camera behaviour, use another one of this effects set to OFF. You don't need to specify the other parameters then.
- You should use a Camera Cut effect after disabling this camera behaviour, because the camera can remain in very strange angles/positions otherwise.
- If you use this effect and don't do the above mentioned, the strange camera angle will be retained even in the editor.
