Cinematic mode

Cinematic mode is an Effect which is accessed from the Triggers menu. You can learn more about the Triggers window here. You can learn more about using effects here.

Effect Description:
Turns the black boxes on the top and at the bottom of the screen that you can see in cinematic movies ON or OFF. It also does helpful little things like uncovering the map, hiding unit outlines and blocking UI sounds as long as it's active.
Effect Parameters:
Mode: Switches the box mode ON or OFF.
Notes:
For further help at making movies see our FAQ. There it's for example described how to use text in your cinematics. Never forget to turn the cinematic mode OFF again, or you're stuck and can only exit the game with CTRL+ALT+DEL (because the buttons to exit the game can't be accessed during a movie).
