Q. I'm having a bit of camera trouble. All of the camera tracks I create in the editor look great when I preview them, but when I view them in playtest in cinematic mode it goes off in the wrong direction turns, and moves weirdly. I have tension, continuity and bias at default levels. Why does it do this?
- I suggest keeping your camera tracks as short as possible. Good cinematic designers usually use tracks 10-15 seconds in length at maximum. Just use more of them. --Spitfire 19:23, 3 Dec 2005 (EST)
Q. How do I make it so that the scenario starts in the best age with all upgrades? (It angers me a touch, cause I want to run my Redcoats up against militia but can't?
- Create a trigger with the effect Set Tech Status Select the required technology,(Redcoats?) and the technology status.(In this case, active)--RTSPlayer 10:41, 8 Dec 2005 (EST)
(He's right. Removed the AoM tag. --Grün 12:07, 17 Dec 2005 (EST))
Q. How do I place a Trading Post (in the editor)? If I place a Socket, I cannot place the Post on top. Shrink 13:57, 12 Dec 2005 (EST)

Q. I created a scenario with 6 players I wanted 3 teams with me against 2 other teams. Every time I try to play the game I start off as a different player than I wanted to. Also all the enemies change to red and I am blue, but a different town centre than I created. I assign a different colour to each civilation but the same thing happens. Any ideas? --Algoma 15:44, 21 Dec 2005 (EST)
- 1. Press CTRL+F1 and save the scenario. 2. You probably enabled Friend-or-Foe colours. --Grün 13:35, 21 Dec 2005 (EST)

Q. I have tried using the instructions in the FAQ to get my AI players moving in a custom scenario. One thing that was suggested to me was to make sure that the HC is set. The only problem is that there are no Home Cities to use! How do I create a Home City for a custom scenario?
- I think you don't need to select a HC. If you don't it'll just use the default one. If you want him to not use a HC at all, there's a trigger effect to disable HC access (Player Set HC Access).
Please come back and let me know if that works! --Grün 07:19, 7 Jan 2006 (EST)
Q. How can I get my army to march in a single-file (or two unit wide) formation? -Jessica
- Sorry, but can't be done easily. It involves modding to do so, and may not let you play online. YOu should contact a modder to see what they can do. --FD2 18:46, 11 Jan 2006 (EST)Talk | Contact (mailto:Filmdirector2@gmail.com)
Q. What effect is used to send recruits using the timer condition? -2D
- There are a couple of ways to do it. By far, the easiest way is to use the unit create effect. But a more complicated way is to use the Army deploy effect, using this one you have more options and can be more flexable. ----Papaya Talk 21:32, 16 Jan 2006 (EST)
- You can also enable birds and ambient noises by going into World Menu, Map types. Check off the maps you want, and the birds and noises associated with that map will appear and move automatically. To move birds you put down, however, you have to use one of the "move" effects. --Botolf 17:53, 25 Jan 2006 (EST)
- A. Almost certainly not. There's the effect Army Change Name though, so you can deploy armies and rename them. --Grün 07:42, 26 Jan 2006 (EST)
