Ignore placement restrictions

From AgeofWiki

Lets you overlap units or buildings in the Editor. Useful for building mashing, perching units atop towers, and other effects.

Saving, playtesting or playing a scenario with overlapping buildings may cause some of the overlapping buildings to disappear, as they violate placement and spatial rules of the game engine. Selecting this feature before you place objects in overlapping patterns, will let you save and play your scenario without losing any of the overlapping objects.

Some exceptions to ignoring placement restrictions: Some Gaia objects (trees, berry bushes, and crates) snap to precise positions on the terrain grid. The vast majority of these objects are gatherable resources or terrain obstruction items. This allows a maximum number of gatherers to gather from these resource objects without pathing issues.
Ignoring placement restrictions for some non-Gaia units (cavalry, ships, wagons, and artillery) can cause pathing issues and gridlock - so it's best to avoid.

Ignoring placement restrictions is an important part of building and loading custom groupings - please see Define grouping for more details.
