Importing Models into Gmax
Ok, for this you will need 4 things(well actually 5 but since i figure you already have AOM if your here)
1) BarExplorer (http://aom.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=97)
2) AOMED (http://aom.heavengames.com/scendesign/modding/aomed.zip)
3) Gmax (http://www4.discreet.com/gmax/)
4) Gmax Exporter (http://aom.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=1384&ci=c999aa6f1635cf65ae1930d6393b2da1Xp0d1EZdHxMcvj/E3dpCJeEWTX+593t1D0dh14Tc36hhnSbWbRlpfeENlgpcMr+IUwF514W2mlbvhTfhanMy/3N4bVE5i1Zhw05RZhgv5VpkJqec6+E/dw6vlkI=)
Export them all
-Ok, first you run BarExplorer
-Now you goto the models.bar in the Models directory under where you installed AOM
-Its will open and you will have a list of models
-Choose one you want and extract it
Now Close BarExplorer and open AOMed
-Choose Direct File Conversion
-Select the file you want to convert
-It will ask you where you want ot put the 3ds place it where you please
-now it will ask you for textures.bar locate it in the program
-Now you have your model and its textures exported
Close AOMed and open Gmax
-In the file menu select import
-Find the 3ds model and import it
-Now goto maxScript menu and click on Run Script and run the script you exported from the gmax exporter that is called import_gmax.ms
This will run it and once the pop-up saying Completed shows up you have the model in gmax ready to be edited

-Some models may not work due ot the fact they are lacking some part of the script
-You cannot weld Points
