This function allows you to create a totally new scenario.
Type: Specify the type of map to generate. Blank makes one covered with grass. You can also generate one of the random maps that came with the game.
Seed: A number which the game uses to generate the random map. If you use the same seed, the same map will always be generated. For a random map, leave it at -1.
Number of Players: The number of players for which the map will be created. If you generate a random map instead of a blank one, this function will place starting builds and units for this number of players.
Number of Teams: The number of teams that will play on the specified map. Presumably affects things like trade route distribution and native american settlements.
Size: The size of the map which will be generated. A large map is bigger than a normal one.
Start Under Debugger: Runs the random map Debugger as soon as the map is generated.
Restore Defaults: Returns the settings in the "New Scenario" window to their original states.
Generate: Creates the map which has been defined by the above settings.
