Basic Use Of Tool

This tool is used to paint the terrain onto a map, note this paints only land and any mask you paint over water will change into land. There are many different types of pallets, these pallets may be selected from the drop list (on the above picture, to open the drop down list click the yellow arrow, at the moment the all pallet is selected). Each pallet has a few different types of paint masks. Selected the pallet you wish and then select one of the paint masks by click on one (What each mask looks like and its name are displayed on your right and on the left is the selected Paint mask). Then all you must simply click and hold down left mouse-button, then drag to place the paint mask.

Advanced Use Of Tool

Same as Paint terrain tool, but you can also use it over water to create different effects, such as bridges and also marsh like areas when used with the Shallow tool as well.
