AOM Articles

Proposal

This is my plan:

Move all policy/guideline pages concerning Age of Wiki itself to the AgeofWiki: namespace. It is ideal that we have our own separate policies (in terms of look) rather than saying "go see some Wikipedia page", even though they would be roughly similar, and turn all links from Wikipedia into AgeofWiki:, except for "this page was originally from...". Case Sensitivity?

Is there a way to turn off case sensitivity in article names? It's really annoying having to link to them. --FD2 20:20, 19 Dec 2005 (EST)

Redirects

Wikipedia uses redirect pages: for example typing in AoM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AoM) would link to Age of Mythology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_Mythology). I believe Age of Wiki does too.

Creating a page with alternate capitalisation and a redirect link would meet your needs.

However, redirect pages in wikipedia are only made for common misspellings ,or for spellings that differ by region (e.g. colour and color), or for debated capitalizations. If, however, you insist on creating a redirect page, then typing #REDIRECT[[Insert Age of Wiki Link here]] will create a redirect page. --RTSPlayer 05:30, 21 Dec 2005 (EST)

Job Change

Clean up time

After looking on the Maintenance page i found that there are many pages that are for AoM and articles that are only good for AOM, i think we need to go thought and delete these pages and clean up AoW, I'm going to start doing this but it will take a long while and I'm going to need the help of the other admins to clean up these pages that there is no longer need for. *USpawnU ^{Talk | Contact (mailto:Ultimate_Spawn@hotmail.com)} 03:29, 14 Jan 2006 (EST)

Eyecandy Articles

My idea for eyecandy articles is to include at least one picture to serve as an example. You can see what I mean here. To do this, we need to make a thumb for each image. Also, we must give proper credit to the author. I can't take screenshots right now because I have no graphics card, but if others could, I will add them to articles. Download Contents of this Wiki

I think it would be awesome if we could download the entire contents of this site or at least a section of it. I've seen other WikiPages that has that feature. I don't have the internet at home, and I don't feel like copying and pasting every page of the trigger section for example, but if I was able to download the latest version in one click, that would be awesome!
