Um, I don't wanna sound like USpawnU's mom, but what he's doing is exactly the opposite of what an admin should be doing. See also this (http://aoe3.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums/display.cgi?action=ct&f=12,28133,0,10) thread at AoE3H, reply 4. It's quite obvious, Papaya is right.

IMO he shouldn't be mod any more. That's really pathetic.

*sigh* That's the problem when the majority of the community is 13 years old... --Grün 12:36, 16 Jan 2006 (EST)

For the record:
(17:43:47) Papaya: Explane
(17:54:30) FreeBaller (U_Spawn_U): I been meanning to wrtie a how group of trigging artcles
(17:54:58) FreeBaller (U_Spawn_U): now i was working on day & night cycle on my map and thats when i decied to write on for that so it did
(17:55:36) FreeBaller (U_Spawn_U): i wasa also doing crap with the choice dialogs so did on on that too
(17:56:14) FreeBaller (U_Spawn_U): and the other one was mean to be for a couple of inventorys but seeing as the page was long i made it a single artcle
(17:56:40) FreeBaller (U_Spawn_U): I didn't even read the otherartcles, firgured most of them won't work with aoe3

Anyone believe him? ----Papaya Talk 15:26, 16 Jan 2006 (EST)

Possibly --Botolf 15:54, 16 Jan 2006 (EST)

No. The articles all existed before in almost the same forms (which do work with AoE3 I'd say). Then they were deleted by him AFAIK, and 'his' guides followed. --Grün 16:01, 16 Jan 2006 (EST)

Not to mention the mapwork section is tiny, pretty hard to miss articles... --Botolf 16:07, 16 Jan 2006 (EST)]

Yo- i restored the old articles, had a read of them to and seen that i shouldn't have deleted them, because they pretty much to work, and I'm not stamping my name on everything, I'm still going to write more articles as well as getting my section up and both these things help Wiki. And I'll probably take a look at the other one with a AoM stamp on them and update them, BUT I'M NOT PUUTING MY NAME ON THEM AS I DO NOT STEAL PEOPLES WORK!!!! sorry for deleting the old articles, I didn't thing it would be seen like this i made a mistake. ->USpawnU Talk | Contact (mailto:Ultimate_Spawn@hotmail.com) 21:44, 16 Jan 2006 (EST)

I believe you Spawn. Spitfire has a point: You can't really brand your work into eternity in a wiki. Hopefully we can move onto more important things now. --Botolf 11:51, 17 Jan 2006 (EST)

Re; USpawnU

Firstly, I've been inactive recently, and will be until Friday because I have exams. You know how it is. Here's some food for thought though:

  • A wiki is not about credit. The entire point is that your work on the wiki CAN and WILL be edited by others. In fact, when you submit anything to the wiki, you are agreeing that it belongs to the design community. Now obviously we rarely enforce that rule, because nobody would submit anything (too many glory hounds). So stealing other people's work is simply not possible here. We are not concerned with who did what, we just want to get it done. If that means we have to put up with USpawnU's name on everything for a while, it's a worthwhile tradeoff.
  • USpawnU wants to be an admin. He's willing to put in the work. What you all seem to be forgetting is that we have been searching for more admins since day one - we've never had enough. So if someone comes to me, volunteers to be an admin, and is appoved of by HG, of course I'm going to accept him. I am not in a position to be picky. Any one of you could be an admin as well.

Cinematic Articles

Where are these located? I have to search for them every single time to find traces of them. --Botolf 12:40, 19 Jan 2006 (EST)

They're 'supposed to be in Editor Functions.

How to edit a page

Could you please take a look at How to edit a page? I can't figure out what I'm supposed to type... --Oddy 12:01, 22 Feb 2006 (EST)
