Stop being a child Spitfire !!! User pages are meant for users so just delete the other stuff you don't want in your wiki and get off my back please !! Nobody is ever going to visit this page and There is no problem if I tell some more about myself and my scenarios I know you hate my guts ...you showed that often enough but please act a bit mature and get off my back with you wiki is not a advertising media stuff...this is not advertising but just tells some more about my rts design stuff!

Well, firstly, the User_talk page (this one) is used to communicate with the user. It is considered in bad taste to delete comments that other users made on it.
Secondly, you are correct in saying that you're allowed to have a User: page for your account. That's what this page is, but this is not the page I was talking about. Two other pages for designers that were not User: pages showed up on Recent Changes under your name, I was meerly explaining what had happened to them. I believe you misunderstood my meaning, as shown by the fact that I have not deleted this page yet.
Thirdly, I have no idea what gave you the impression that I "hate your guts". I had assumed that we had a fairly amicable relationship up to this point. I believe that I might have given you cause to be angry with me when I made a few decisions that I felt had to be made (not making the wiki for AoM, not posting pages about scenarios or about designers, etc), and I appologize if you're still mad at me because of that. --Spitfire

Introduction and a short History sketch....

The Vandhaal designs single and multi player scenarios and campaigns for game titles like Age of Mythology and Starwars Galactic battlegrounds. He touched a scenario editor of an Rts game for the first time in the Command & Conquer Red Alert 1 game. Later games as for example StarCraft followed. These first experiments where not very serious and on a regular base.

The current Vandhaal started scenario design in the year 2001. His designing intensified during the period in which both of his parents got very ill. In the period between the final stage of his Mothers live untill she died from cancer he used the game design to ease his mind as he couldn't get this done with his outside world designing and creating of Fine Art.These events where ( and still are ) also the reason he got into scenario design more seriously. In this period (middle of 2002 untill end of 2003) he created the massif Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds project Episode 10: The Hidden Force. This project was build up out of a series of games within one big Storyline. The content of Episode 10: the Hidden force was as follows: A 6 scenario counting multiplayer campaign, 2 singleplayer campaigns with a total of 20 scenarios and 2 multiplayer battle scenario series containing 5 scenarios. In total The Vandhaal created over 150 Rts scenarios with various quality for different games.

During the year 2004 he started also designing for Aom. After some initial try out projects he started with the campaign project The Ring of the Nibelungen act 1: The Rhinegold. In this year he was also invited by the famous Tsunami Studios design team to join their ranks. The individual and elite character of this team made him decide to give it a go ( The Vandhaal likes to keep his full indepency ).

Some Design philosophy...

A short indication on how The Vandhaal thinks about his designing is shown in the below interview/post fragments (Misc Sources as for example: Tsunami Studios forums):

" The most important thing for me is that the story has to catch me ( Excisting as well as self written story line).I have respect for the masters of fine arts.. but I do not get inspired by anybody..in paticular. As already mentioned before some things catch me but my main inspiration comes from within...I like to create things from scratch based upon my own imagination and on the stories which run around in my head. If I base something on an excisting tale I always incorporate it into my worlds.....'

".....Well I have a lot of ideas ..when the time arrives to let one of them out..I just make a little sketch in my head (mostly just before I go to sleep) and then just start to work (when I am awake ofcourse). I like the creative ride and adventure the most...."

"....The tech stuff doesn't really interest me...triggering is just needed to bring the story from my head into the scenario and ofcourse I try to do this as good as possible..."

"...I have seen and played a lot of simple games which sparkle from original imagination, those are the kinds which I like... and I have seen a lot of Hight tech complicated games which are just dead....A lot of skilled techies just lack any imagination....Those games may be hyped by their autors or the community and high rated by this game design community.....but I do not give a shit about that crap.....dead is just dead and I preferre the (sometimes simple but) imagination rich game above them anyday...."

"....The (science)Fiction games like for example Starcraft, Swbg and Aom give me the possibility to live out all my imagination in their editors...so thats why I preferre them..."

".....I replay even older games then AoK once in a while because they are just great (and more compact). Although some grafix and sfx are not as advanced as the new games they still stay interesting (my personal classics I suppose).I hardly abandon any game which has grabbed me ( te only problem is that some old games won't run on a new xp comp but i solved this by always keeping and old win 98 comp running besides my newer systems) I have here one old Rts game based on HG Wells War of the Worlds maaaan I would love to make a campaign for it but it has no editor

"....It is funny That I have about 20 brand new games lying around here ,never touched and still sealed in the original package because I stay a long time intereseted in some old games I have (so I aksed people to just stop bying new games for me)...."

"....Its just a hobby....."
